Native Texan and newish Nashvillian, Taylor Leonhardt has deep roots in Raleigh. She spent a year as a fellow at Church of the Apostles, and continues to lead worship at Church on Morgan. We are grateful to have Taylor joining us for this special concert to benefit hurting children around the world. 

Taylor is first and foremost a craftsman. Whether she’s penning tunes for her solo project or for her duo Mission House with Jess Ray, it’s always about the song. The Gospel Coalition recently called Taylor, “one of the most promising singer-songwriters in Nashville these days,” naming her latest project Hold Still one of the best albums of 2021. 

In addition to touring and writing, she spends time across the US leading music and conversations for spiritual retreats, creative workshops, and faith communities. When she’s not on the road, you can catch Taylor on a long run or pursuing her newest hobby – fly fishing. She is convinced God songs are everywhere. 

In 2022 Taylor and Jess joined RiverCross for a wonderful evening at The Sutherland. We are thrilled to have Taylor back for this special evening. And thanks to the generosity of RiverCross Friends, all proceeds from the night will go to support trauma healing for orphans, refugees, and vulnerable children around the world and in our backyard. 

So, bring a lawn chair and a picnic dinner and drink of your choice and enjoy an evening of incredible music with Taylor at Havenwood, a unique and intimate backyard venue in Raleigh. The backyard opens for guests at 6:30 pm and the show will start at 7:30 pm. Come on the early side to claim the patch of lawn you want. Light snacks, drinks, and desserts will be provided. Rain plans will go out closer to the event.
