Anuli was Angry

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14.

For two years, Anuli was angry. She was angry at the HIV that killed her father when she was only 9. She was angry at her father for leaving her and her siblings while they were so young. She was angry that her grief had turned her into a different person; that she never felt like playing with her friends and didn't care about her grades anymore. She was angry at the way her life had turned out since her dad wasn't around to encourage her like he used to.

But praise God that a friend of Anuli broke through her anger and invited her to come to a Freedom Club where she learned how to process her own grief and anger by listening to RiverCross audio dramas that depicted kids just like her dealing with the same emotions. Anuli wrote a letter to her father, expressing every emotion that had been trapped inside her since he passed away.
"It's like a load has been removed from my shoulders," Anuli told the RiverCross Champion that led her through the exercise.

Today Anuli is free from her anger, and learning to use her story to bring healing to others just like her.
