Impacting by Equipping

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6.

A School's Hope*

When Bridge to Freedom, our newest audio drama launched in October of last year, our community Champions were eager to experience the new training - excited to bring along friends and coworkers from their communities.

At one school in Zimbabwe, the administration had seen such a drastic change in the lives of their students after two teachers were trained with our Holding Esther program that they decided to send 18 teachers and administrators to become equipped with the Bridge to Freedom training.

One administrator commented, "Our school has a total enrollment of over a thousand pupils, and managing them was very difficult because our students are coming from different backgrounds and have experienced one trauma or the other, therefore their behavior was a concern. But the two teachers we sent for the Holding Esther training came back with so many skills that they now know how to handle each learner as an individual and listen to their stories."

Since the 18 teachers and administrators have been trained with Bridge to Freedom, more Freedom Clubs have been started, school attendance is up, and tardiness is down as the students are eager to hear each episode of the audio dramas. They are even performing skits, and reciting poetry and Bible verses during school assemblies to show what they are learning during the Freedom Clubs.

These trainings are impacting the lives of children by equipping teachers to better protect the precious children that God has entrusted them with.
