Love or lies?

Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:2.

Love often inspires lapses in judgement, especially when you're young. For Omar, his infatuation with a woman he met online led him to fulfill her request of sending explicit photos of himself.

The woman Omar thought he loved kept asking for more, threatening to expose his photos if he did not continue to fulfill each shameful request, each becoming more detailed than the last. Omar became desperate, powerless, and ashamed. He began isolating himself from his family and friends, thinking it would be easier to end his life rather than explain to his parents what he was going through.

But praise be to God that Omar came across RiverCross Kids Club, and upon seeing the vulnerability of other kids in his community, Omar was willing to open up to one of the RiverCross Champions.

RiverCross is now working to educate young people on how to be safe online. Because of this training and support, Omar now understands his value is not determined by his past actions. Omar is now using his story to educate his peers on safe surfing and sextortion awareness. He even was empowered to explain his story to his parents.
