Taffy leads Eden Trust, a ministry for vulnerable girls in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She first heard about RiverCross from her sister Zweli, a chef and restaurant owner in Durham, North Carolina. Zweli had met RiverCross’s Executive Director, Cindy Finley, and sensed an immediate connection between RiverCross’s mission and her sister’s calling in Africa.
When Taffy learned about Discovery Groups—five-week, story-centered conversations exploring how God heals children in distress—she signed up right away.
After the third session, she sent Cindy a WhatsApp message:
